Patient Care Co-ordinator & Administration

We have a great opportunity for a friendly, warm and motivated person to join our boutique Hawthorn rooms, with demonstrated experience in assisting plastic surgery patients with their surgical journey.

You will have had at least 2 years experience working in a plastic surgery practice, including (but not limited to):

  • support patients with their surgical and/or non-surgical journey
  • confident handling patient enquiries
  • co-ordinating patient/surgeon schedules
  • assisting PM with quality improvement
  • confident with surgical bookings, billings and estimates
  • stock control and device ordering
  • proficient computer skills
  • reconciliation of accounts
  • other office and practice improvement duties

You will enjoy working in a small team environment, are patient focused, well groomed,  have a polite and friendly manner, are reliable and always looking to improve your skills to benefit the practice.

Using your exceptional customer care skills, you will be confident in assisting our patients throughout their surgical and non-surgical journey and have excellent communication skills within our practice as well.

You will also be hardworking and efficient in your approach to tasks, working independently as cohesively  as part of a small team.  Punctuality is important to you, as is also being flexible to ensure that the practice runs smoothly especially on consulting days.

Attention to detail and ability to multi-task is a must, as is maintaining excellent interpersonal skills under pressure.

Experience working in a plastic surgery practice is a must.    Genie or similar practice software experience is essential.

Practice Nurse

We are seeking a highly motivated, compassionate and experienced registered nurse and/or injector for the practice on a casual or part time basis.  Experience in administrative duties is an advantage, but not necessary as on the job training will be provided.

Duties will include:

  • working under the instructions, and alongside, senior surgeon
  • best practice post-operative care and follow up
  • consulting with patients
  • assisting surgeon with in room procedures
  • record keeping and file management
  • stock control
  • assist with policies and procedures
  • and any other clinical tasks as directed

You will be well presented, have excellent communication skills, able to work under pressure yet be empathetic towards patients, friendly and warm, professional and discreet.   You will be patient focused, motivated and will liaise with surgeon about his patients on a timely basis.

Minimal 2 years experience in a plastic surgery practice is essential, as is current AHPRA registration.
